If all this information was thoroughly analysed, it would be very useful for <strong>healthcare professionals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Data about<\/strong> <strong>healthcare <\/strong>may be obtained from electronic medical histories, telemedicine devices, clinical tests, or even from wearables. Likewise, it would be possible to get valuable information from epidemiological, nutritional and genomic data, more closely related to what we know as Real World Data (RWD) and Personalized Medicine. Analysing this information may help doctors and healthcare centres to make decisions, resulting in a <strong>better healthcare service <\/strong>for patients.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column animation=&#8221;fade-in-from-bottom&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243; delay=&#8221;500&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applying the so-called <strong>Big Data techniques<\/strong> provides <strong>an intelligent layer<\/strong> where it is particularly relevant to apply <strong>predictive models<\/strong> that help anticipate healthcare needs and offer a more effective medical attention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At IIC we apply our own techniques to analyse information and optimize both <strong>healthcare management <\/strong>(to predict how to use healthcare resources more efficiently: frequency of attendance at General Practice (GP), hospital admissions, etc.) and <strong>patient care <\/strong>(providing <strong>personalized medicine <\/strong>with support). Likewise, <strong>predicting hospital readmissions<\/strong>, <strong>healthcare costs <\/strong>\u2014for individuals or according to chronic conditions\u2014, etc. involves a significant economic impact on healthcare institutions.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column animation=&#8221;fade-in-from-bottom&#8221; text_align=&#8221;center&#8221; width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #9f1700;\">Analysis of Frequent Attenders in Primary Care<\/span><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Spanish Society of Primary Care Doctors (SEMERGEN) defines \u201cfrequent attenders\u201d as patients who attend the General Practitioner consultation 12 times a year or more. However accurate this definition might be, it lacks something. Likewise, it would be possible to get valuable information from epidemiological, nutritional and genomic data, more closely related to what we know as Real World Data (RWD) and Personalized Medicine. Analysing this information may help doctors and healthcare centres to make decisions, resulting in a better healthcare service for patients.
